Dr. Ala Abdelbaki is a professor of mathematics and statistics, and has held teaching appointments at the University of Virginia, Northern Virginia Community College, James Madison University, and Virginia Commonwealth University. Dr. Abdelbaki earned his Ph.D. from the University of Virginia, and he is currently writing a textbook on abstract algebra for undergraduates. In his spare time, he enjoys exercising and playing basketball.
