ePDH Course Provider Biography
Mr. Peterson is a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University and is a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Virginia and eligible for all. He is also certified Project Management Professional with the Project Management Institute. Mr. Peterson began his engineering career in 1997. Since then he has gained significant experience in the analysis, design, investigation, and testing of mechanical systems including HVAC, hydronic, energy, and cost reviews. He routinely provides energy audits, trusted advisor design reviews, and litigation support/expert testimony on a variety of projects. Mr. Peterson has authored numerous technical reports and studies and has served as a technical reviewer for national and international companies. He has served in technical societies and on committees at the local, regional, and national level, and is currently serving as a Distinguished Lecturer with the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE).
In addition to his professional experience in the engineering field, Mr. Peterson is a former instructor of the Fundamentals of Engineering course as part of the University of Maryland Baltimore Campus Training Center and has also been a guest speaker at over 30 conferences and seminars. He currently serves on the ASHRAE technical committee 9.09, Mission Critical Facilities, Data Centers, Technology Spaces and Electronic Equipment. In May 2011, Mr. Peterson was elected to the 4th annual "40 Under 40 " award presented by Consulting-Specifying Engineer magazine.
