Engineers routinely design and bid projects and the Bid Proposal Form, which summarizes how the contractor will be compensated, becomes a major factor in the tone for the working relationship between the engineer/owner and the contractor. This online course explores some typical and some very unique alternatives engineers may choose when creating a Bid Proposal Form. By considering variations on how items can be measured and paid, the engineer may create more win-win conditions between the owner and staff, the contractor and the contractors material suppliers. This course covers some basic techniques as well as unique alternatives and describes some typical results that can be expected when using these bidding parameters.
