This course is intended to make designers well versed in the special issues involved with connection details for prefabricated wood I-joists and structural insulated panels. The details presented have been developed for higher snow loads but are applicable to all loading conditions. The course also covers how roof snow load is calculated from specified ground snow load. A review of structural mechanics is included to show how calculations are developed for the different bearing conditions.
This course includes a multiple-choice quiz at the end, which is designed to enhance the understanding of the course materials., deaeration, disinfection and ultraviolet irradiation.
