The International Building Code has been adopted by all 50 states and the District of Columbia. This course highlights the structural provisions contained in Chapter 16 of the 2009 International Building Code, and is designed to help structural engineers get familiar with the latest building code requirements. The course materials are based on the 2009 IBC Chapter 16 - Structural Design (you must have a copy of the IBC 2009 (or IBC 2006) and ASCE 7-05 for this course). Detailed answers to some of the frequently asked questions are provided in the quiz section along with a downloadable Excel spreadsheet. This course includes a multiple-choice quiz at the end, which is designed to enhance the understanding of course materials.
