This two-hour course discusses the basic factors every engineer should know about structural steel welding. It is important to have an understanding of the potential problems and critical parameters that need to be taken into account in joining steels. This course will enable the designer to become familiar with the typical weld terminology, understand the metallurgical changes that occur during welding, and the precautions to take to avoid situations that can ultimately lead to failures. This course includes a multiple-choice quiz at the end, which is designed to enhance the understanding of the course materials.
