Mark Rossow, Ph.D., PE Retired This course is designed to meet the Florida Board of Professional Engineers' continuing education requirement that a minimum of 1 PDH per renewal period must be devoted to the study of recent changes (that affect engineering practice) in Chapter 61G15 of the Florida Administrative Code (F.A.C.), Board of Professional Engineers Organization & Purpose Chapter 455 of Title XXXII of the Florida Statutes Business and Professional Regulation: General Provisions Chapter 471 of Title XXXII of the Florida Statutes Engineering The course is for the current biennial cycle, 2023-2025 (renewal date of February 28, 2025). The changes described in the course went into effect during the immediately preceding biennium cycle, 2021-2023. Examples of recent disciplinary actions taken by the Florida Board of Professional Engineers are also included. Please make sure that you have entered your FL PE number in your profile to enable us to report your course credit. Once you complete this course, we will include your course credit in our report to the FL PE Board. Our Florida reports are typically filed on a monthly basis; however, during the license renewal season, we increase the reporting frequencyfrom weekly in January (odd years) to semi-weekly in February (odd years)to facilitate the renewal process. Additionally, during the final week of February (odd years), we submit daily reports to the Florida Board. Please note that the board may take up to two business days to process the reported data. To avoid any last-minute issues, we strongly recommend completing R225 as early as possible. ![]() NY PE & PLS: You must choose courses that are technical in nature or related to matters of laws and ethics contributing to the health and welfare of the public. NY Board does not accept courses related to office management, risk management, leadership, marketing, accounting, financial planning, real estate, and basic CAD. Specific course topics that are on the borderline and are not acceptable by the NY Board have been noted under the course description on our website. |
