File No. 2008-00846: Mr. (name withheld) placed his seal on the work of a regulant from another jurisdiction without permission. He failed to affix the date to his stamped plans.
File No. 2007-04714: Mr. (name withheld) submitted sketches for review which were not marked as incomplete, advance, or preliminary copies.
File No. 93-01961: Mr. (name withheld) submitted a sealed set of group A building plans without being licensed as an architect.
File No. 98-02205: Mr. (name withheld)'s Architect Seal included the words certified and certificate no. These words are not in conformity with the Board's seal design requirements.
This course gets to the source of these and other sealing and certification mistakes; it does so in a clear, concise, and straightforward presentation. Just a few of the topics covered are: (1) The dos and donts of sealing, signing, and dating certifications, (2) the acceptable and unacceptable types of seals, (3) the exemptions, exceptions, and special situations to sealing, (4) the avoidance of sealing improprieties due to practice overlap, (5) the performance of minor, out-of-discipline work, incidental to primary licensed practice.
This course includes a multiple-choice quiz at the end, which is designed to enhance the understanding of course materials.
