As with much underground construction, in drilled shaft work we are commonly not afforded the luxury of visual inspection of the end product. Thus, to ensure a proper installation, setting the project up for success with a buildable design and implementing a thorough quality control program of the execution process are imperative. This presentation will explore how both these aspects can go off course and what may result from such issues.
