Geotechnical Instrumentation and Monitoring in Civil Engineering Projects (Live Webinar)

Vincent Le Borgne, ing. Ph.D. and Alexandre Cosentino, ing.

Geotechnical monitoring is an increasingly common requirement for civil engineering projects. Recent advances have facilitated the deployment of fully automated large-scale monitoring systems. Twenty years ago monitoring was conducted on an ad hoc basis, with workers collecting data from wells, staff gauges and other analog methods. New battery technology, more powerful loggers and increased availability of wireless signal have all made automated instrumentation more cost-effective than ever before. This session is intended as an introduction to various instrument types and technologies found in infrastructure projects. It will provide real-life examples and applications drawn from the experience of the hosts.

Keller – North America provides a wide range of geotechnical engineering and construction services to improve soils in-place and to both construct new and rehabilitate foundations. Within our range of services, a Ground Modification solution is generally available for the toughest subsurface conditions.
