Rigid Inclusions (2-Hour Live Webinar)

Ken Kniss, PE; Yan Zhang, Ph.D., PE; Hiu Lee

As one of Keller’s newest products, rigid inclusions offers a ground improvement solution for soil profiles where deep foundation elements were commonly needed before. Rigid inclusions are high modulus, controlled stiffness, grout columns which are typically installed through weak compressible soils terminating in a firm bearing layer in order to reduce settlement and increase bearing capacity. Rigid inclusions can be applied to most types of structures and soil types. Since they allow the structures to be built upon a shallow foundation and produce minimal spoil, rigid inclusions can provide a very cost effective solution for many projects. This webinar will touch on the basics of rigid inclusions, from design to installation.
