Design Code for Liquid Process Piping, Based on ASME B31 - Part III

Peter Smith, HNC (Mech)

This is a 4-hour course using the US Army Corp of Engineers - Engineering and Design for Liquid Process Piping EM 1110-1 (Chapters 1 to 3).

This code closely follows American Society of Mechanical Engineers, ASME B31, which is the most commonly internationally used code for the Process industry. It is a huge subject and I have broken the code into three sections - Part I, Part II and Part III. This is Part III

There are minor differences between the base ASME code and EM1110-1 which is used as the study material for this course and on which the quiz is based.

It is impossible for a Piping Engineer to try and remember all of the requirements of this code, but it is essential that the Engineer is familiar with the scope of the code, content and its format.

This course includes a multiple-choice quiz at the end, which is designed to enhance the understanding of the course materials.
