This course deals with the doctrine of adverse possession and the effect it has on the ownership of property. The course details for the surveyor, the different ways land can be acquired by adverse possession, and what the land surveyor needs to be aware of when performing boundary surveys. Prescriptive easements are also covered as they relate to adverse possession.
