Surveying occurs in many different hazardous environments. Rugged terrain, high-speed traffic, and construction equipment are some of the elements that pose survey hazards. This two-hour course discusses the safety responsibilities of the employees, the party chiefs, and the field and office supervisors. It provides safe operating procedures for surveying near traffic, water, and railroad. It also discusses the environmental hazards related to snake bites, insect stings, and poisonous plants.
This course includes a multiple-choice quiz at the end to enhance the understanding of the course materials by the attendee.
