Most material suppliers an engineer or architect will deal with will deliver the material as specified. Only a small minority will attempt to defraud you but one bad component in a critical application on your project can cause a catastrophe.
The information contained in this course can be used as a basis for the development of a program to detect counterfeit and/or fraudulent material for your company. This is only an introduction. This is a dynamic problem that requires constant attention since the counterfeiters and fraudulent suppliers are always trying different approaches.
This course includes a multiple-choice quiz at the end, which is designed to enhance the understanding of the course materials.
