This 5-hour course provides a high-level technical overview of blockchains. The purpose of this course is to help you understand how blockchains work and how it may be applied in real-world business applications. Blockchains are immutable digital ledger systems implemented in a distributed fashion and usually without a central authority. Blockchain is the basis for the cryptocurrency, Bitcoin, and others, but blockchain is not Bitcoin. Blockchains enable a group of users to record transactions in a ledger public that cannot easily be changed once published.
This course includes a multiple-choice quiz at the end, which is designed to enhance the understanding of the course materials.
