This course provides guidance to engineers as to how to dela with issues arising from construction vibrations. The course materials are based on the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) manual entitled “Transportation and Construction Vibration Guidance Manual”. This manual provides the necessary principles of vibrations and discusses the vibrations resulting from construction operations. Mitigation of excessive vibration and guidance for preparing related construction specifications are also provided.
This course includes a multiple-choice quiz at the end, which is designed to enhance the understanding of the course materials.
