Energy use and its environmental considerations are inextricably linked. This course will describe fossil fuels and their characteristics, how their use generates the major air emissions of concern, and how they can be converted to different forms. The course will also discuss those emissions and the significant control measures employed to minimize them. Finally, the course will examine electricity, a primary energy-consuming sector. The course will identify potential issues associated with reaching desired energy and environmental goals.
This course includes a multiple-choice quiz at the end, which is designed to enhance the understanding of the course materials.
